Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Clerva LLC, a Delaware (United States) limited liability company (“Clerva”, “we”, “us”), provides an AI-assisted facial aesthetics analysis service. This Policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and your choices. It applies to the Clerva website and applications and should be read with our Terms of Service. The Service is for users aged 18 and over.

2. Information we collect

• Photographs you upload for analysis (facial images).
• Demographic & preference inputs you provide during onboarding (e.g. age, gender, ancestry, country, aesthetic preferences).
• Account information via our authentication provider (email, name).
• Payment metadata, we record the amount, currency, and order reference for your purchase; we do not collect or store your card details (handled by our payment provider).
• Usage and technical data necessary to operate and secure the Service (e.g. session, device/browser information, logs).
• Website and campaign measurement, unless you turn it off, Google Analytics receives limited website usage information and the Snap Pixel measures visits and conversions on public sales, signup, and checkout surfaces. These services may receive browser/device information, referring page, general location, and campaign identifiers. We do not send facial photographs, report content, questionnaire answers, analysis IDs, account IDs, email addresses, phone numbers, or report/account query parameters to these browser integrations. Campaign query parameters such as UTM values and Snapchat's click ID may be used for ad attribution on tracked sales surfaces. When measurement is on, Snapchat's server-side Conversions API also receives a one-way SHA-256 hash of the customer's normalized email, limited browser/network identifiers, and purchase metadata so it can measure and deduplicate signup, checkout, and purchase events. It never receives photographs, report content, questionnaire answers, or analysis/account IDs.

3. How we use your information

We use your information to provide the Service, to perform the AI-assisted analysis of your photos, generate your personalised report, deliver it to you, process your payment, send transactional emails about your analysis, provide support, and maintain the security and integrity of the Service. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your photographs for advertising.

AI systems process your photographs to produce the analysis. Access to original photographs is restricted to authorized reviewers and support personnel when needed for quality assurance, fraud prevention, safety, or a support request.

4. Service providers (sub-processors)

We share information only with vendors that help us run the Service, under contractual confidentiality and security obligations, including:

• Clerk, authentication / account management.
• Lemon Squeezy, payments and merchant of record.
• Cloudflare R2, encrypted storage of photos and reports.
• Anthropic and Google, AI models used to analyze images and generate report content/visualisations.
• Resend, transactional email delivery.
• Railway and Vercel, application hosting.
• Google Analytics, limited website usage measurement unless you turn measurement off.
• Snap Inc., advertising attribution and campaign optimization on public sales, signup, and checkout surfaces through the Snap Pixel and Conversions API. Both are excluded from report, photo, preference, membership, settings, and admin activity.

We may also disclose information where required by law or to protect our rights.

5. Data retention & deletion

Your uploaded photographs, generated report, and account record are retained so you can revisit your analysis and access past purchases, unless you request deletion. You can revisit your analysis and access past purchases. Deleting your account removes its Clerva profile, analyses, reports, and stored photographs. You may request photo-only deletion or deletion assistance by emailing privacy@clerva.cc. Photo-only deletion may limit our ability to investigate a later report-quality issue.

6. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit and at rest for stored photos and reports. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. International transfers

Clerva and its providers operate in the United States and other countries. By using the Service, you understand your information may be processed in jurisdictions whose data laws differ from your own.

8. Your rights & choices

Subject to applicable law, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information. To exercise these rights, contact privacy@clerva.cc. We send only essential transactional emails about your analysis; we do not send marketing emails.

Website analytics and advertising measurement are optional. You can turn them off or change your choice at any time. Turning off measurement does not affect the Service.

9. Children

The Service is for users 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18; if we learn we have, we will delete it.
